Flow

The biggest part of change, is flexibility.

It’s embracing the cycles of life, sometimes gentle, sometimes turbulent, and learning to trust their flow as alignment with the something greater than ourselves.

Easy to say, sure 😉 But how do we go about finding this flow and what does it mean to trust it? How do we learn to move within universal rhythms instead of being the rock worn down beneath inevitable waves of change?

Change is one of the most consistent forces in the universe. Just as seasons cycle and tides ebb and flow, we are a movement of constant transformation. Shifting perspective to view the inevitability of change through the lens of wisdom instead of calamity, allows each transformative moment to carry the energy of deep renewal and possibility.

Stepping into change as a sacred teaching is actively stepping into faith. It is leaning into the fear of the unknown and trusting that we are guided toward the good that seeks us. It is settling into the present knowing that there is a greater plan at work – particularly when accepting that we cannot see it. It is setting aside doubt within transition – the end of a relationship, a job or personal transformation; and by throwing away expectations from the past, we step into the present with grace, personal power and renewed purpose.

Universal flow moves, first, within us, before reflecting in our external world. It assumes understanding that we cannot control what happens, only our response. Ritualistic practices like breath work, meditation, yoga, amongst others, develop the mastery of inner flexibility and flows us into loosening our grip on expectations and outcomes. That softer grasp refocuses us on now, allowing the universe to work it’s magic without personal resistance. Letting go of expectation is surrendering to what is. It is actively being receptive to new ideas, opportunities and connections that might not have been possible if we held too tightly to what we thought must be.

If the universe is the water that flows us into the future, faith is the board upon which we paddle. By allowing ourselves to partner in flow, instead of being dragged beneath the surface, we see the wisdom and perfect harmony of the unknown. We develop the skill set to trust divine timing and guidance, becoming peaceful co-creators of what is.

With the faith that we are exactly as and where we are meant to be, we step into the life of least resistance. Thus, flow is not something sought, but rather a gentle surrender to natural being. Flow is the sweet spot integrating the sacred through and around each of us, into one with existence itself. In perfect peace with perfect grace, it all happens now.

Your life is happening, right – now.

Trust it. Have faith in it. It all is anyway, my loves, paddle.
