The Choice to Let Go

What if we viewed letting go as a gift.

From the self, to the self.

On purpose.

What if we looked at holding not as loyalty, but as a way of keeping ourselves in place.

What would it mean if we gave ourselves permission to take a breath, and feel into what’s ready to be released.

Reminder here that we must look, to see.

So we pause here for a moment and consider:

What is ready to go?

Or even:

What is trying to manifest into existence?

Then what has to be released in order to become?

And what if we move into release, as a caterpillar moves into the chrysalis.

We create the space, then we take it.

On purpose.

Not as a last resort, but as something chosen.

With a quiet opening of the hand, we can make room for what is already beginning to move.

It’s here that we step into the rhythm of everything.

We can flow to and from ourselves as gently as the tides.

As inevitably as the moon shifts shape.

Seeds break open in their drive toward the surface.

Not because they failed, but because they have finished being what they were, and something new is ready.

Are we allowed that same movement?

Allowed to be ready?

Can we give ourselves permission to let something go simply because we’re ready for what comes next?

Can we release expectation and discover possibility?

Close the chapter on one story and leave the page open for what comes next?

Can we release the need to know and find ourselves curious again?

Because there’s a kind of trust in this.

The trust that our world does not come to a screeching halt simply because we stop holding so tightly.

That there is movement beyond what we can see.

Here, an ending becomes an invitation to open and understand that the space revealed is not absence, but possibility.

And perhaps the permission to let go is really permission to be participative in our own shifting.

To loosen our grip.

To feel the movement.

To notice what is calling us forward.

And to hand over our need to know where it leads.

We have only to make a little room.

And let ourselves begin again.
